Help with the cost of living 

This update is to inform key community stakeholders in Neath Port Talbot about the support available from local and national organisations to help people who are struggling with the cost of living. 

All the links below are out in the public domain This update was put together in partnership with the third sector.

 

All new information that has been added since the last bulletin is highlighted in yellow.

Food Poverty

 

• Food Poverty Grant - Community groups and organisations that help tackle food poverty in Neath Port Talbot can now apply for a grant of up to £7000. A grant of up to £500 can also be used to purchase equipment. For further details on the funding criteria and to complete an application form online, go to www.npt.gov.uk/foodpovertygrant.

• NPT Mind – NPT Mind’s Welfare Rights officer can support those with mental health problems through the welfare process and their Money and Me team deliver a 6-week programme designed to support people with the impact finances can have on mental health.
