School Based Counselling Service

Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak and the need to adhere to Government guidelines in relation to self- isolation and managing staff sickness, the School Based Counselling Service has been operating at reduced capacity and has, up until now been working with current clients only. However, in addition to this, we are now pleased to be able to offer the following services:

The Neath Port Talbot Supporting People Supported Housing Directory is a guide to the wide range of Support Schemes available to help people maintain independent living, maintain their homes and prevent homelessness.

Tidy Minds "Virtual Counselling" New Service Swansea or Neath Port Talbot

If you’re a young person living in Swansea or Neath Port Talbot, we’re here to help you understand the way you’re feeling, and find the right advice and support. We are working continually to ensure that this site meets your needs including the development of a Welsh version. tidyMinds will be available in both English and Welsh by Autumn 2021.

Proud Trust

The Proud Trust is a life saving and life enhancing organisation that helps LGBT+ young people empower themselves, to make a positive change for themselves, and their communities. We do this through youth groups, coordinating national and regional LGBT+ youth work networks, managing the LGBT+ Centre for Manchester, delivering of training, running events and campaigns, undertaking research and creating resources.

Mental Health Matters Wales

Mental Health Matters Wales secures Welsh Government funding to help aid Mental Health Recovery due to the pandemic which will help support the communities of Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot and Swansea through advocacy.

Platfform 4YP

Platfform For Young People – 4YP Swansea Bay, will deliver our successful State of Mind wellbeing programme which has been designed and co-produced with young people as an early intervention to develop their coping skills for their own mental health and wellbeing. Working one to one initially and also running peer support groups in the community, the project is positive and empowering and our feedback has been outstanding; we have already trained over 30 young people as peer mentors to set up groups all over Wales, even in lockdown!

South Wales Police PCSO Contact

South Wales Police is the largest police force in Wales and although geographically small, covering around 812 square miles and equating to just 10% of the geographical area of Wales, South Wales Police provides a policing service to 1.3 million people (42% of the country’s population).

WCADA Neath & Port Talbot (substance misuse support)

Welsh Centre for Action on Dependency and Addiction - WCADA - (previously known as WGCADA) has been providing a free range of treatment services for those affected by substance misuse for over 30 years, originally from a single office in Swansea to six agencies across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend.

Action for Children: Gender Identity Guide

Young people have a lot to think about. Exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity should be a positive experience for all young people, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and non-binary young people. We know that many practitioners are already taking vital steps to make sure the needs of their lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and non-binary young people are met.

Wales Dementia Helpline

Offers support, information and signposting for anyone who is living with dementia or caring for a family member or friend with dementia.

DAN 24/7

Wales Drug & Alcohol Helpline; offers a single point of contact for anyone in Wales wanting further information or help relating to substance misuse.


Mental Health Helpline; offers emotional support, free self help leaflets and signposting to local services for people suffering mental distress as well as their family, friends and carers.
